FAQs
How can I prepare for the weather in the Rockies?
The weather in the mountains is unpredictable and can change quickly, so we highly recommend packing layers. Even in summer, temperatures can vary greatly between daytime and evening, especially at higher elevations. Bring a warm jacket, waterproof outerwear, and comfortable walking shoes to be ready for any conditions.
Am I going to see bears on this trip?
While wildlife sightings, including bears, are common in the Canadian Rockies, they cannot be guaranteed. Keep your eyes peeled and your camera ready! If the oppotunity arises, our guides will point out an array of different wild animals that inhabit the Rocky Mountains.
Can I book the available optional activities online?
Yes. The optional activities available on the Rockies Summer Classic Tour are the Banff Gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain, and the Ice Explorer Glacier Adventure at the Columbia Icefield. These are available to add on while booking the tour online or with one of our agents at an exclusive discounted rate. You can also book both activities in a Combo and save even more!
We strongly recommend booking your activities along with your tour to secure your spot at the best rates. These are subject to availability and very popular in the summer, so they are NOT bookable while on tour. If you wish to modify your booking after it is completed, please contact us as soon as possible, and we will try to accommodate to the best of our ability.
Is there a Premium version of this tour?
Yes, our Rockies Summer Premium Tour offers a similar itinerary to the Classic tour, including one extra night in Banff.
